Come Sell or High Water’s Origin Story:



Come Sell or High Water is the brainchild of CPG industry vet Paul Christian (me!). During a thirty-year span with powerhouse companies like Hormel, Coca-Cola, Unilever Ice Cream, and Smuckers, I honed my craft in the CPG space, dealing with the day-to-day negotiations and overall strategies involved with getting products in stores and growing the business. I gained an abundance of knowledge — both formal and on-the-job —in a variety of different categories and departments. 

The final four of those years I transitioned to That’s How We Roll, navigating for brands like ParmCrisps and Thinsters. This was when I realized how much I love using what I know about the industry to help smaller brands and early-stage startups break down that barrier to entry. My desire to help those at the heart of any brand — the founders — only grew stronger. 

So, I founded Come Sell or High Water with a simple mantra: small brand focus with big brand ambitions. What does that mean? It means partnering with smaller brands and utilizing my knowledge of the market space to avoid blunders and setbacks to help steer growth.
